Most apartments in Miami do require 3 months deposit normally first, last and security. There is also generally an application for the condo association; this process normally takes 1 day to three weeks depending on the building. The cost ranges from $100-$300, some buildings also charge and extra security deposit for the building.
We suggest that you start looking for your rental about 6 weeks before you need to move in. The general process in Miami is to find your rental, place an offer once accepted a lease agreement will be prepared. Once this is signed by both parties you will have to pay at least once months deposit. You can then apply to the condo association for residence.
They will need a completed application form plus a signed copy of the lease and a check for the application fee. Once you have been accepted and it is the due date to move in you will need to pay the balance of deposits which is normally paid cashiers check.
